August 25, 2005 will mark the 11th year TEAM CONCEPTS has displayed its truck equipment and accessories at the Minnesota State Fair. Over 12 days and nights over 1.7 million people will attend the “Great Minnesota Get-Together” and a large portion of them enter and leave through the north gates of historic “Machinery Hill”. Whether going down or coming up Cooper Ave, guests must pass in front of TEAM’s impressive display of truck-mounted snowplows, spreaders, dump inserts, truck covers and racks, bed slides, van and service vehicle work organizers.
From this prime 50’ x 100’ lot in the center of the “Hill”, numerous successful new products including HINIKER Snow Plows & Spreaders, BedSlide pickup bed-extenders, TruckCraft Pickup Dump Inserts and SnowEx Spreaders have first been introduced to Minnesota from here. This year will be no exception, with a new HINIKER Homeowner Snow Plow, two new TrynEx Spreaders, the new Top Spin rollup pickup cover from Downey, and two revolutionary new lines of van, service vehicle and work trailer organizers from JEMRACK and System Edstrom being featured.
Scores of contractors, municipal and governmental buyers and users as well as the general public will file through TEAM’s well laid out, welcoming exhibits, studying and comparing what they see to what they currently have or may be considering in the numerous competitors’ exhibits. For instance, every major brand of snow plow can be seen and compared within a few square blocks. Every variety of pickup cover is being shown on numerous lots, and so on. It is a unique “Compare before you buy!” experience that many visitors make their annual reason for attending the Fair.
The major themes are “What’s new from _________ this year?” or “What’s the State Fair price?” and “Where can I buy one?” We carefully steer them to their closest stocking dealer and encourage them to ask for the “State Fair Special!”
TEAM CONCEPTS provides free beverages, snacks and comfortable seating in the shade and out of the rain. This relaxed hospitality generates more time for in-depth product presentations and to more effectively answer guest questions or concerns. As factory representatives not permitted to make retail sales, TEAM never knocks the competition but focuses on educating and informing the buying public. It is a highly effective venue, as witnessed by guests returning year after year, bringing over their friends and family and often returning several times on the same or consecutive days.
